Willow and I were up early for a walk under the stars. It has been clear for awhile, unfortunately we picked a morning that was cloudy with a few stars poking through here and there.

Willow decided to drag her face through a patch of burrs and is now covered in them. She has been patient but not overly pleased with me picking them out.

What I suppose is light pollution there makes lovely photos for your blog!

Thanks. It is lights from the valley shining up and deflected down by the clouds. They cast hard shadows that is completely unnatural.

The stars, clouds, and unusual lighting made for some interesting photos. Did you see any wildlife?

The lights of the valley shine up and bounce back off the clouds casting harsh shadows. We saw a few deer in the headlights when we parked. Willow’s face was covered in burrs on the walk and I spent over two hours in the afternoon pulling them out.

Great shots Bob … I think the clouds add to the beauty!

Thanks Julie. In the valley bottom the clouds reflect the light.
