Mottled tiger

I used to see these caterpillars a lot when I was a kid, so I was delighted to see one again. As a child they looked so interesting, a furry worm. When you are young you get to see a lot of interesting things.

    We have furry caterpillars which are a bit like that but much longer and with more stripes. We get loads of them on the fell paths at certain times of year – so many you have to watch where you’re walking (not that everyone does šŸ˜¦ )
