Late August

Partially eclipsed moon through the clouds.

It’s feeling cooler. Lisa said she feels the change. The change is when you can feel fall.

I am looking forward to fall. It’s been a long, busy summer.

Lisa and I were ready for the partial lunar eclipse a few night ago but the weather failed to cooperate. We did spot it between holes in the clouds. It was nice to catch a glimpse.

Red Sturgeon Moon.

Along with the cooler weather the smoke is clearing. It has been a hot dry summer. The garden has suffered, but’s still trying. Lots of tomatoes and cucumbers.

Smokey mountain majesty.

Even with some clouds, your photos were good to see. They are real.
We’ve had hot and excess rain this summer. My lawn is too green for late August. Mowing it between rain storms has been a challenge. I am getting some tomatoes. Lots of them are split open from the excess water.

That last photo of the misty mountain skyline (due to the smoke) was very reminiscent of Knoydart in Scotland to me! Great photos. I didn’t realise there had been a partial lunar eclipse – should we have seen it here?

I have a few posts on my blog from Knoydart – you can use Knoydart in the search box and it will bring them all up. There are lots of (much smaller than yours) mountains which are very rugged so your photo reminded me of them…
