Beautiful flowers and beautiful photos. Is that an orchid of some kind? I ask as we have Ladies Slipper Orchids and the flowers are very similar – don’t think the leaves are though…

Thanks Carol. It is the first and smallest orchid that grows in the mountains here. It is also called Venus’s Lady’s Slipper. Always a treat to see. Later some of the bigger orchids will start to bloom. Wishing you well.
