way back

It was good to head into the bush. We went way out there, brought back firewood. We got into the canyon, where it crashes, where we used to make love on the rocks beside the river. It was our church. I was always less adventuresome.  You always said, lets go.

We’re older now. A lot has changed. I’m cranky. Our bodies are changing again, it ain’t for the better. Still, regardless of it all, you egg me on.

    Couple of great photos there!

I was casually looking for firewood today in the hedgerows on my daily walk and realised that you really can’t see it here at this time of year – too much plant growth on the verges!

Thanks! It sounds like you must be getting some moisture and everything is growing. I bet your wood takes some time in the woodpile before it is dry enough to burn. The care. Bob

I’m not saying it’s plants we want which are going mad – it’s general greenery (not so much flowers) and weedery! The trees look to be struggling a bit now. I think our drought has broken though – we only had 6 weeks. I was enjoying it and could have stood at least another 2 weeks!

Thanks Julie! I love the picture of Lisa. I have a picture of Lisa pregnant with Kelsie 30 years ago in the same spot. Hope all is well as you head into winter.
